COLGHA Development Stream (DS) Returning for 2026-27

We’re excited to share that COLGHA’s Development Stream (DS) program will return for the 2026-27 season at the U11, U13, U15, and U18 levels. **Pending OWHA Approval**

Following a strong inaugural season, we’re looking forward to continuing to offer DS as an additional development pathway for players looking for a more competitive experience alongside House League hockey.

*Please note that DS programming will continue to be subject to sufficient player interest and the availability of coaches and volunteers.

DS Coach Applications Now Open

Coach applications for both House League and Development Stream teams are now live.

As part of the continued growth of the DS program, we are looking for coaches who are passionate about player development, teamwork, and creating a positive and competitive environment for players looking to further develop their game.

What is Development Stream (DS)?

Development Stream (DS) is an additional hockey opportunity offered alongside House League for players looking for a more competitive development experience.

Players selected for DS continue to play full time within House League while also participating in additional development opportunities through DS, which may include:

• Additional practices
• Exhibition games
• Tournaments
• Higher pace and more competitive gameplay
• Increased focus on systems, positioning, and team play

The goal of DS is to help provide an additional development bridge between House League and Rep hockey while continuing to keep HL as the foundation of the program.

Important Timing Information

Under OWHA guidelines:

• DS tryouts cannot be held until November at the earliest
• DS teams cannot officially be rostered until December 1 or later

Additional information regarding registration, tryout timing, scheduling, and season structure will be shared closer to the season.
