Tryout Results 2026-2027

As we enter our 10th season, our focus will continue to be development for every player and we will work hard to support your growth and continued improvement.

We understand that not making a team is disappointing. Please be proud of your accomplishments and effort throughout the process. We are faced with the tough decision of picking only a handful of players. The Coach and Player Development Staff has made every effort to make the tryouts a fair and enjoyable experience for every child and parent. You will now be asked to become a leader on your team and continue to contribute to a positive environment for all Lightning players.

For those of you that have been selected to a competitive team, as we celebrate your accomplishment, we ask that you respect your fellow hockey players that were not chosen. When you cross paths with them you are expected to conduct yourself in an appropriate manner, and treat all Lightning players as equal competitors, accomplished athletes and friends.

U11A

Please note the Player ID #'s below have been SUCCESSFUL in securing a spot on the Collingwood Lightning U11A Team for the 2026-27 hockey season. Congratulations! Please note U11A has an Exhibition Game booked for Thursday May 7th at Central Arena, 7pm vs Saugeen Shores Storm. 

The U11A Registration Package will open June 1st. The U11A Team Meet and Greet skate is scheduled for Saturday May 30th. There will be a player/parent meeting at Wasaga Stars Arena, 11:30-12:30pm and then an on ice player skate, 1-2pm.

As a reminder, we expect you to conduct yourself in an appropriate manner, and treat all Lightning players as equal competitors, accomplished athletes and friends. Have a great summer!

If your ID # is not posted on this list, we kindly ask you to attend the U11B/BB Tryout. Tryout schedules can be found on our main Organization Calendar under the Games Centre TAB. No further registration is required. 

U13A

Please note the Player ID #’s below are invited to attend the 2nd U15A tryout on Sunday May 3rd at Wasaga Stars Arena, 12:30pm-1:50pm. 

If your ID # is not posted on this list, we kindly ask you to attend the U15B/BB Tryout. Tryout schedules can be found on our main Organization Calendar under the Games Centre TAB. No further registration is required. 

U18A/BB

Please note the Player ID #’s below are invited to attend the 2nd U18A/BB tryout on Sunday May 3rd at Wasaga Stars Arena, 2:00pm-3:20pm

If your ID # is not posted on this list, we kindly ask you to attend the U18B/BB Tryout. Tryout schedules can be found on our main Organization Calendar under the Games Centre TAB. No further registration is required.
